Recognized for its know-how and expertise, French subsidiary Espro SAS has been selected by the Orsay and the Orangerie museums in Paris to provide the comprehensive audio guiding service at both museums, for the next five (5) years. The service includes inventive audio and multimedia equipment as well as multi-lingual content that should respond to the diverse needs of all visitor audiences arriving at these museums.
The Orsay museum, opened in 1986, is one of the most prestigious museums in the world and one of the largest museums in France, hosting around 4 million visitors every year. The museum has been an Espro-Acoustiguide client since 2006, presenting around 460 commentaries in 9 languages for the permanent collections. Along the years Espro has provided tours in various languages for the museum’s major temporary exhibitions as well.
The Orangerie museum, situated in the Tuileries gardens, was reopened in 2006 following a thorough renovation and restructure process. It offers a fabulous concentration of masterpieces but it seems to be mostly known for the Claude Monet Nymphéas.
Starting January 2012, visitors are now able to discover Orsay’s New Look and the collections of the Orangerie museum via Espro-Acoustiguide’s global mediation services; new multimedia tours, to be also followed by thematic tours, interactive family tours, multimedia tours for special exhibitions (adults and family tours), special tours as sign language and visually-impaired tours, mobile apps available for download from Apple App store and Google Android Market as well as RF group guiding systems for group-guided tours. A special GPS-based mobile app will offer a mini city-tour focusing on Paris at the 19th century.
Mrs. Fella Myara, Commercial Director at Espro SAS commented:
We are very happy to have won this tender; for Orsay to have been confirmed in our position of our trust worthy services in all aspects, and for the Orangerie to add such a prestigious museum to our client list.
